Tips for Getting Ready Fast

I've been living in France and going to High School (Lycée) here, at home I get up at 7 and take my time getting ready, leisurely eating breakfast, getting dressed, doing my makeup and not leaving until 8-8:25. I am not a morning person, in fact I have a very strong hatred towards mornings, so to avoid getting up any earlier than I have to I have cut down my get ready time from 1 hour to 1.5 hours to 30 to 35 minutes. I've acquired some knowledge on how to get ready fast and also have a stress free day and I thought I'd share.

Plan ahead
Sometimes I wake up at 3 am and remember that I have a project due later that morning that I totally forgot about, its crazy stressful and it just sets me up for a bad day. So to avoid this I know that I need to plan again, use a calendar or an agenda...my school (in Canada) provides me with an agenda every year and only last year I actually started using it. Write down everything you have to do work, appointments, anything you have to do any day of the week, don't leave anything out. Make your food for breakfast and lunch and even snacks then put them in the fridge so you can grab them in the morning. When you finish your work before you go to sleep pack your bag for the next day. Already by preparing the night before you're buying yourself extra time the next morning, and if you can't find something the night before you aren't stressing and running around looking for it like you would be in the morning.

Keep all necessities together
There are some things I cannot go anywhere without stuff like a bus pass, house or car keys, hair ties, a pad or tampon, headphones, spare change, lip balm and face powder. If you change your bag up a lot this is a great trick, keep all your everyday necessities in a little makeup bag or pencil case that way when you need to change bags all you need to move is your wallet and your little bag of must haves!

Lay out everything
You've probably heard the advice of laying out an outfit for the next day, but take it a step further...find all the skin care and makeup products (including brushes) and lay them out or put them in a little box beside where you get ready. Making sure everything you need is ready for you to use is a good way to make sure you can get up and get ready in the morning without having to think about it, definitely a good thing for me because of my hatred for mornings and that its just easier for me to be able to zombie my way through my getting ready time.

I hope this help anybody who suffers to stay organized in the morning, these tips have helped me cut my getting ready time in half and I hope they're helpful for anyone reading this!
